The Robson Creek 25 ha rainforest plot is situated on the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland. It is part of the TERN FNQ Rainforest SuperSite. The following data is collected from the core hectare 6 within the 25 ha plot. LAI and photopoints are done at the end of each wet and dry season. The vascularplant survey and six gentry transects were done in 2012. Coarse woody debris is done each year. Data for stems > 10 cm DBH can be found in the dataset - Vascular Plant Data > 10 cm DBH, Far North Queensland Rainforest SuperSite, Robson Creek, 25 ha plot, 2009-2012.

LAI
LAI readings are done at the end of each wet and dry season. All information is provided with the LAI data file and attached references.

Species inventory
The vascular plant census for Core ha 6 was carried out by Andrew Ford (CSIRO) in March 2012. The census was done in each 20 x 20 m subplot and each species was given an abundance rating for that subplot. Stems in the 25 ha census (≥ 10 cm DBH) were incorporated. For each subplot, each species was divided into a) trees >10 cm from the 25 ha plot census: score of 0=not present in subplot, 1=1 individual, 2=2, 3=3, 4=4, 5=5+. b) saplings (10 cm >1 m), seedlings (<1m), others (ferns, gingers, orchids, sedges): 0= not present in subplot, 1=1-3 individuals, 2=4-6, 3=7-10, 4=11-15, 5=15+.

Coarse Woody Debris
CWD survey is done each year following the RAINFOR protocols. The whole hectare was surveyed.

Photopoints
Photopoints are done at the end of each wet and dry season. Photographs were taken at cardinal compass points at each of the four corners (steel pickets) of hectare 6. An additional four photographs were taken at the centre steel picket in a SW, NW, SE and NE direction.

Gentry Transects
Six gentry transects were censused in March 2012 following protocols found in the Supersite focal hectare protocols. Coordinates are contained in the data. Stems <10cm, shrubs, and grass/herbs were assessed.
